What is Athlete’s Foot?
Athlete’s Foot, or Tinea Pedis, is a fungal infection. It tends to develop on the bottom of the feet and in between the toes. It is a very common problem that can last for either short or long periods of time. There are many treatments yet it can still be difficult to eradicate.
Causes
The most common causes include but are not limited to:
- Wet feet / not drying properly
- Sweating
- Weakened immune system
- Diabetes
- Sharing towels / socks / shoes with others
- Walking barefoot
- Unclean feet

- Itching
- Pain / burning sensation
- Skin cracks
- Blisters
- Skin peeling
- Redness
- Rashes
